Start your day with Morning Heat, a two-hour guided sauna and brunch experience combining Finnish sauna culture, Arctic nature and a relaxed morning meal by the Kemijoki River.
During the experience, your host will guide you through SUMA’s three different saunas. Enjoy the authentic warmth of a traditional wood-burning sauna, take in the river views from the electric sauna through panoramic windows, or relax in the gentle heat of the steam sauna.
Between sauna sessions, unwind in the heated outdoor pool or refresh yourself with an invigorating dip in the Kemijoki River.
The experience includes a towel, bathrobe, sauna slippers and a welcome drink. Your visit is completed with a full brunch-inspired dining package, carefully prepared to offer a relaxed and memorable start to your day in Rovaniemi.

What to expect
Arrival, Welcome Drink and Introduction
Arrive at SUMA Sauna & Lounge on the banks of the Kemijoki River. Your host will welcome you, provide a towel, bathrobe and sauna slippers, and introduce the facilities, safety guidelines and the traditions of Finnish sauna culture.
The experience begins with a welcome drink and the first flavours of the brunch-inspired menu.
Explore the Saunas at Your Own Pace
Enjoy SUMA’s three saunas in the order and at the pace that suits you best. Experience the authentic warmth of the wood-burning sauna, admire the Kemijoki River through the panoramic windows of the electric sauna, or relax in the gentler heat of the steam sauna.
Your host will be available throughout the experience to offer guidance and help you discover the different styles of Finnish sauna.
Brunch by the Fire Between Sauna Sessions
Throughout the experience
Morning Heat combines sauna and dining into one relaxed experience. Brunch-inspired dishes are served in stages between sauna sessions, allowing you to enjoy food, fire, fresh air and the surrounding riverside scenery at an unhurried pace.
Part of the dining experience takes place around the open fire, creating a warm and atmospheric start to the day.
Heated Outdoor Pool and Kemijoki River
Available throughout the sauna experience
Between sauna sessions, relax in the heated outdoor pool and enjoy the Arctic surroundings.
Guests looking for a traditional hot-and-cold contrast may also take a refreshing dip in the Kemijoki River. River swimming is optional and subject to weather, water and safety conditions.
Main Course
Approx. 25–30 minutes
After the sauna journey, enjoy the main course of the Morning Heat dining package. The meal is inspired by northern flavours and completes the savoury part of the brunch experience.

Coffee and Dessert
Approx. 15–20 minutes
Finish Morning Heat with coffee and dessert in the relaxed surroundings of the lounge or by the fire.
After two hours of sauna, water, fire and Arctic flavours, your host will help you prepare for departure.
