Come back from the snow, put the sledge gear on the dryer and heat your own sauna while dinner is still an hour away. When the löyly is enough, the balcony is two steps away and the Arctic air does the rest. This is the version of a Lapland holiday nobody has to book a shuttle for.

There is space to match. Twin beds that work as a double, a sofa bed in the living area, a private bathroom with free toiletries, air conditioning, a flat-screen TV, fast free WiFi and a tea and coffee maker. Five people fit in here without anyone feeling crowded. All of it in 50 square metres.

Outside the door, the Arctic Circle line and Santa Claus Village are minutes away on foot, reindeer and husky farms sit just beyond, and Rovaniemi Airport is a five-minute drive. Downstairs there is a buffet breakfast, a restaurant, a bar and a 24-hour reception.

Every Rovaniemi Insider activity is bookable directly from the hotel, with pickup at the front door so nobody waits in the cold. Husky and reindeer safaris, aurora hunts and snowmobile tours cost less as a package than booked one by one, and reception can arrange them around your sauna evenings rather than on top of them.
